L’Oréal Renewal Lash Serum
So right now, I’m in the midst of using this in the hope that it will give me better lashes.
For those of you who don’t know, this little fella is a serum that’s meant to give your lashes a boost as it’s enriched with Arginine and Centella. (Who? What?)
Yeah, I wasn’t too sure either, but after some rummaging I’ve found that Arginine helps to supply the nutrients for your lashes to develop and Centella helps to prolong the lash life span.
You see, apparently our eyelashes go through a cycle where they fall out and then regrow, fall out, regrow etc. The gel formula is meant to increase the time between fallout, thereby leaving more lashes on your eyes, equalling longer, fuller lashes. So it doesn’t create the appearance of fuller lashes, like mascara would, it actually gives you fuller lashes because there’s more of them. Sounds good to me.
Anywho, so you’re supposed to see results in four weeks and I’m one week in. So far, I can’t really tell if there’s a difference or not (which I guess is to be expected) but I’ll let you know in three weeks.
Ooh…new Chanel range.
Although it’s been out for a little bit now. Took me a little too long to post this.
Oh how I wants this. The Radiant Glow Highlighting Powder and Rouge Allure in Shade 08 are designed to help achieve a natural, radiant, glow which is what I am constantly trying to attain.
Don’t you just love…
Black and white photos? I absolutely and unequivocally love them. One of the main reasons that I feel this way is because black and white photos add such an ethereal and mystical charm to the subject, irrespective of what it is. Which is quite a feat if you ask me.
Take for instance the pictures you see of alleyways, where the walls are covered in graffiti and the pavement has garbage strewn across it. Perhaps there’s a rogue wanderer amongst the scenery, loitering about and up to no good? And yet, the image itself, as a whole, still possesses some sort of magic to it. Had it been in colour, mm…not so much. But strip away the colours and leave only the dark and light aspects of the image, and hey presto! You have created something beautiful.
This is just one of my favourite black and white photos, and although there are countless out there and still so many that are yet to be taken. I’ll try and keep posting ones I’ve stumbled across and have fallen in love with.
This is the Pére Lechaise Cemetery in Paris, France and although you might find it quite morbid, it is definitely on my list of places to see. Affectionally called La Cité des morts (The City of the dead), by Parisians, it is one of the most hauntingly beautiful places to see. Aside from the fact that there rests such luminaries as Oscar Wilde, Honoré de Balzac, Frédéric Chopin, Jim Morrison and Édith Piaf, to name but a few, it is a wondrous place to simply walk through and admire (for lack of a better word). With it’s cobblestoned and tree lined streets, ornate tributes and Romantic-inspired monuments it holds an almost dark, otherworldly charm.

This picture of one of my favourite models, Daria Werbowy is amazing, don’t you think? Beautifully epitomises Summer, what with all the beach wonderings, gentle ocean breeze, loose flowy white dresses, Bumble & Bumble Surf Spray curls (I adore B&b) and just a general tranquility.
Mmm… Oh Summer, wont you come back?
A couple of lover-ley winter boots
These YSL ankle boots are oh so cute.
And these bad boys from the late, great Alexander McQueen are just rockin’ my socks off.
(via shoelust) Oh Christian Louboutin, I heart these!
This watch… from Chopard… is $28 million dollars. Is that gasping I hear? That’s right, you heard correctly. $28 mill-eeee-on dollars! Because the zero’s go for eons. It would take eons to fund this. It would be eons before I could even see this kind of dosh, but even then (yes, I speak as if one day it will happen [hehe, I sound like a pantene ad “it wont happen overnight, but it will happen”] sorry, I digress). Even then, I would be crazy mad to fork out that kind of money on a watch. Heck, where would you even wear something like this? And why would you risk losing it?
Scott Schuman and Garance Dore
In my opinion, this is one of the most inspirational and influential couples in fashion and photography today. Every image they produce conveys a magical beauty and confidence that radiates through the clothes they admire and the people that bring them to life.
The artistic fashion that is on display coupled with their amazing photography skills makes from some pretty darn good fashion blogs. If you appreciate good fashion and photography at all, you have to check it out. Scott Shuman at The Sartorialist and Garance Doré at Garance Doré
Ahhhaa…this constantly makes me smile.
